About

New York native Edward Hertzman received a degree in economics from NYU and then spent more than a decade working as a top executive and decision-maker for major sourcing companies all over the world, including Synergies Worldwide and Pearl Global. He has partnered with globally recognized retailers and wholesalers all over the world with special expertise in Pakistan, Bangladesh, India and China.

He continues to consult widely on sourcing and supply chain matters, and remains in the fashion business as a partner in Brand Ministry, a men’s wholesale and private label company with offices in New York, California, Pakistan, India and Bangladesh and China.

In 2009, in response to a gaping need for industry news, Edward founded Hertzman Media with its flagship publication, Sourcing Journal Online. With more than 60,000 subscribers, Sourcing Journal Online has become the largest trade publication devoted to the sourcing apparel and textile industry supply chain in the world.

In 2015, Hertzman Media Group (HMG) followed up the success of Sourcing Journal with two new niche properties: Vamp, an online B2B publication for the footwear industry, and Rivet, an online B2B publication covering the denim and premium markets, further cementing HMG as a leader in news, features and research for the apparel, textile and footwear trades. The same year, HMG re-launched Apparel Executives, a comprehensive resource of jobs and networking opportunities for the apparel industry.

Edward sits on the Leadership Board for Fashion Delivers, a charitable organization that channels the resources of the fashion industry to those in need. He is also on the advisory board for Textile Exchange, a non-profit committed to growing sustainable practices in the textile value chain.
